Acceptable Use Policy

Last Updated: April 26, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy governs the relationship between you and Adaptensor, Inc., an Arkansas corporation with its principal place of business in Cove, Arkansas, USA, operating the brand FeatherPulse through the website featherpulse.com. References to "we," "us," or "FeatherPulse" mean Adaptensor, Inc. acting through that brand.

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") sets the minimum requirements for using FeatherPulse websites, services, and equipment. It applies to every person who accesses the site, operates our hardware, or relies on our services. Violations may result in suspension of services, voiding of warranty, and legal action.

2. Laser and Robotic Safety (Required)

FeatherPulse laser systems include Class 4 laser products under 21 CFR 1040.10 and IEC 60825-1. Class 4 lasers can cause permanent eye injury and skin burns from direct, reflected, or scattered radiation, and can ignite combustible materials.

You must not operate, allow operation of, or train others on FeatherPulse equipment unless all of the following are true:

  • The Laser Safety Officer (LSO) and operators have completed training that satisfies ANSI Z136.1 (general) and, where applicable, ANSI Z136.6 (outdoor) or ANSI Z136.9 (industrial);
  • The control area is posted and interlocked, and operators wear laser-rated PPE matched to the wavelength and optical density of the system;
  • The installation has a documented hazard analysis covering nominal hazard zone (NHZ), reflective surfaces, fume/particulate generation, fire/ignition sources, and the OSHA Hazard Communication standard;
  • For aviation use, work is performed under an FAA-approved maintenance program and AC 43.13-1B and the operator's General Maintenance Manual;
  • For robotic integrations, safeguarding satisfies OSHA 29 CFR 1910.212 and ANSI/RIA R15.06.

3. Prohibited Conduct on the Site

You agree not to:

  • Use the site to violate law, infringe intellectual property, harass, defame, or harm others;
  • Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or breach security or authentication measures without authorization;
  • Introduce malware, conduct denial-of-service attacks, or attempt to overload our infrastructure;
  • Scrape the site or use automated tools to harvest content beyond what is disclosed in our robots.txt;
  • Use site content to train AI/ML models without our prior written consent;
  • Submit false, misleading, or impersonating information through forms;
  • Resell, sublicense, or expose our content as if it were your own.

4. Prohibited Equipment Uses

You may not use FeatherPulse equipment:

  • On a person, animal, food, pharmaceutical, or any biological tissue;
  • In medical, dental, or therapeutic applications;
  • In nuclear facilities, life-support systems, weapons systems, or any application where failure could reasonably cause death or serious bodily injury without the customer's own redundant safety controls;
  • To bypass, modify, or remove safety interlocks, emergency stops, or posted warnings;
  • In environments with explosive atmospheres or in violation of NFPA 70 electrical-safety requirements;
  • In violation of U.S. export-control laws (EAR / OFAC) or to a sanctioned end-user, end-use, or destination.

5. Compliance and Records

You are responsible for maintaining all records required by your jurisdiction (CDRH/FDA Form 2656 reporting where applicable, OSHA injury logs, employee training certificates, hazard assessments). On reasonable request, we may ask for proof of LSO designation and operator training before servicing equipment under warranty.

6. Reporting Incidents

You must report any equipment-related injury, fire, near-miss, or suspected defect to us within seventy-two (72) hours so we can investigate, notify regulators if required, and improve our products. Email jamie@adaptensor.com with the subject line "SAFETY INCIDENT".

7. Enforcement

We may, at our discretion and without prior notice, restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the site or services for any violation of this AUP and will cooperate with law-enforcement requests. Repeated or wilful violations void the limited warranty.
